Lorian Bartle is a dual citizen of the United States and Germany. She was born and raised in the United States to an American mother and German father. During her youth, she spent a semester every three years attending German-speaking schools. She completed German classes as an undergraduate at Vassar College and at University of Denver’s University College. In addition, Lorian Bartle spent a summer during her years as an elementary music teacher attending the Goethe Institute in Munich.
